About CREW

Our Mission: Preparing teens to be disciples of Christ for the good adventure.
Our Vision: Teens on the good adventure.

Frassati's CREW is our youth group for middle and high school students. We strive to create an environment that allows teens to encounter Christ through fellowship, joy, and community prayer. We typically meet every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month.

Through CREW, teens have opportunities to serve at Oktoberfest leading children's games, at Vacation Bible School as group leaders, and at other children's events throughout the year such as our Trunk or Treat or Easter Egg Hunt!

Teens in CREW also have the opportunity to attend retreats and conferences such as DYC (Diocesan Youth Conference) and Steubenville Atlanta.

CREW Nights

•November 10th, 2023 (6:15-8:30pm) Vocations Night:
Join us as we explore different vocations for National Vocation Awareness Week. We will have special guests with us!

•December 8th, 2023 (6:45-8:30pm) Prepare the Way:
Join us for dinner after 5:30pm Immaculate Conception Mass (Holy Day of Obligation) and for time in front of the Blessed Sacrament to spiritually prepare for the birth of Jesus Christ!

Service Events

•Sea Haven for Youth (Coming January 2024). We will be taking dinner to teens staying at Sea Haven for Youth in Little River. We will join the teens there for games and fun after. More details coming soon!

Meet Our CREW Leaders!

Katie Kline
CREW Leader and Assistant Director of Discipleship

Katie is a recent graduate of Coastal Carolina University with a degree in Marine Science. During her time at Coastal, she was a leader in the Catholic student organization on campus, running Bible studies and coordinating Masses. In the summer of 2022, Katie served as a Summer Missionary with Life Teen at Camp Covecrest. As a missionary, she led teens through parish based discipleship and consequently felt called to youth ministry.

Thomas Vehige
Core Team Member

Thomas Vehige is a recent graduate of Coastal Carolina University with a degree in Sports Communication. During his time at Coastal, he was a leader in the Catholic student organization running on campus outreach. Thomas currently works full time for Mercury in creative media. Thomas enjoys volunteering his time to help teens grow in their relationship with Christ!

Anderson Dewig
Youth Ministry Intern

Hello my name is Anderson Dewig. I am from Bluffton South Carolina and I am a freshman at Coastal Carolina. I have been serving God through Youth Ministry for many years now at my Parish, Saint Gregory the Great, serving in every level from elementary students to high school students. I was also served with the Diocese as part of the Evangelization Team. I am exited to serve God at Frassati Catholic and to bring God into the students lives.
