​A MODERN DAY MIRACLE
In 2011, Kevin Becker fell off the roof of his college home and sustained life-threatening brain injuries that should have killed him.  His chances of survival were slim, and if he did survive, he would most likely remain in a vegetative state.  During this ordeal, his friends and family learned of Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati, O.P., an incredible, athletic, young man and member of the Dominican Third Order who died in 1925 at the age of 24.  Since he needed a 2nd miracle in order to be canonized a saint, they turned to him and begged for his intercession, and a true miracle occurred which is now being examined by the Vatican!  Kevin's story and miracle could help us call him Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati!

​Feeling so blessed tonight as we conclude two years as the Catholic Community at Carolina Forest.  Christine Wohar, world renowned scholar on Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati came to share his story of what ordinary holiness looks like and how each of us can follow in his footsteps on the good adventure “verso l’alto” — towards the heights!

This requires us-as Pope Francis has repeatedly called for - to “go out to the peripheries,” to our neighbors, our co-workers, our friends, the homeless, etc.
